What an oil boiler service includes (nozzle, filter, flue)
The technician checks the nozzle that sprays oil into the burner and usually replaces it, as a worn one wastes fuel.
They check and clean or replace the oil filter, which catches dirt from the tank before it reaches the boiler.
They test what comes out of the flue to check the boiler is burning cleanly. Any repair they find is priced separately before they do it.
OFTEC registration and what it means
LPG boilers and Gas Safe
LPG is a gas, so the engineer must be on the Gas Safe Register with an LPG qualification. When you book, say it is LPG and give the boiler make and model.

How much is an oil boiler service?
Glow Group published prices from £120 for an oil boiler service when we checked on 24 October 2026. The technician confirms your price before the visit.

Do you do LPG?
